It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  I love designing Christmas cards, and thought I’d share my personal card with you. This year I decided to create an ornament card.  It’s a round scalloped edge two-sided card that can hang from a tree. The colors & fonts to have a fun whimsical feel, while still maintaining my style. Wishing all of you a very merry Christmas!

It was such a joy to create this beautiful invitation to Adelyn’s Baptism – custom designed specially for the adorable little guest of honor! The invitation is 2-sided, featuring her gorgeous photo, monogram and date of the momentous event on one side - and the details on the other.  I am very happy with how this elegant invitation came out – it is sophisticated and timeless.   You know that feeling of delight that you get when you open your mailbox and see that big white envelope that can only be a fabulous wedding invitation? Well multiple that excitement by 100 and you will get the feeling I get when I receive an invitation sample from a Design Service Only – Print Yourself client.   Kari’s destination wedding invitation has me craving a walk on the beach!  Kari and Jacob have chosen  Florida to say their vows and I had the joy of designing her beach-breezy wedding invitations. Kari wanted a look that was elegant and sophisticated with a touch of a casual beach feeling. She showed me photos of a beach with flowing white fabric, and I could immediately feel the sand on my feet and feel the breeze from the ocean. I was perfectly inspired to design a personalized invitation for the beautiful couple.    Kari printed the design that I made on textured watercolor paper and inserted them into a navy blue pocket fold. Here’s an extra special birthday invitation designed for an extra special little boy celebrating the big 3! When Suzanne told me that her son’s birthday party involved animals, I thought a Safari theme would be ideal! In creating the look I was inspired by all things travel – passports, boarding passes – and of course cute animals! Everything from the design of the invitation and illustrations to the writing was truly custom-created for the big event. It was printed on pure white semi gloss cardstock with a glossy coating on the photo side. I think the end result is absolutely adorable!  Does this sound like a fun party? I think the side of the invitation devoted to a photo of the little explorer will remain on display long after the party has ended! Thank you Suzanne!

   I was so excited when Erika told me that she was incorporating a CD as part of her Welcome Bags for her destination wedding.  It’s a personalized memorable gift that can be enjoyed many times over!   I created this custom designed label with their monogram & wedding date, following the look of her Save the Date cards that I designed!  This favor is a very special way to commemorate the happy occasion. When Carrie asked me to design Birthday invitations for Cailin’s first birthday, I was super excited….and knew it had to be extra special! When we first discussed themes, I thought what better for a summer birthday than a Luau theme! In creating the look I was inspired by my trip to Maui – the gorgeous flowers that were everywhere as well as the whole surf vibe I observed on the beaches. I knew her invitation had to be a blend of fresh modern tropical meets sophistication for this beautiful baby girl. I took full advantage of the bright fresh color scheme and then also added a bold graphic font to pull in the beach feel. It’s so fun & fresh. It was printed on pure white semi gloss cardstock with a glossy coating on the photo side. I think the end result is absolutely delightful! (– and did I mention the quick turnaround? I was thrilled to work with Emily from J & E Tent Rental in creating a new logo for her company. I was inspired by the beautiful photos on her site, and wanted to create a logo that communicated the same message. The final design communicates style & elegance that her tents can bring to an event: She has a huge selection of tents ranging from casual to elegant to accent any occasion.   I enjoy making beautiful things happen! I spend my 9-5 hours working for a corporation designing packaging and products that are sold at many mass retailers nationwide. I love my job & the creativity that I get to have.   My freelance services thru Desi Design not only include invitations & announcements, but sometimes I get the opportunity to work on identity graphic design programs for fantastic clients. Such is the case with the project you are about to see!     Deanna from 5-9 Events was an absolute delight to work with on the design of her company’s logo and style guide. I was thrilled to hear that she was starting her own Event Planning business in Virginia, after many years of coordinating and hosting several successful events in Ohio. My mind raced with several possibilities for the look of her company identity. This week I have spent my evenings working on a custom monogrammed aisle runner for Mary’s wedding in July. It is all hand work, so it gives me a chance to get my hands dirty making something beautiful. This monogrammed aisle runner will add a touch of glamour and style to her walk down the aisle!   Elegant & Sophisticated - these words describe this couple and their Wedding Invitations.  I had the pleasure of custom designing this Wedding Invitation set for Amber and William, a charming couple getting married this fall who I had the pleasure of meeting through a referral. Amber was a delight to work with during the design process - she had fabulous ideas and focused vision on her wedding colors and her timeless style.   Eggplant, rich navy and a touch of silver made for a gorgeous combination. I think this invitation is a great reflection of how beautiful their wedding will be. This was printed on pure white semi-gloss cardstock, which provides a crisp clean backdrop to the elegant typography and detailing. I will absolutely be waiting on the edge of my seat to see the photos from this wedding!  Thank you so much Amber and William and congratulations!

Photo thank you cards are the perfect way to say thanks! I just adore this picture of my son from his second birthday party and wanted to share it with all who attended. To continue his baseball theme, I found inspiration from vintage baseball cards for the design. Only in our photo instead of a baseball, this little slugger has a cupcake in his hand! Custom designed thank you cards with a smiling face are a fantastic way to make your message even more memorable!

  Doesn’t this party sound like a blast?  I just adore the look of vintage circus posters and find the typography to be blissfully whimsical. So when Michele asked me to create a first birthday invitation with this theme, I was beyond thrilled with all the possibilities!   In creating the look I was inspired by antique circus advertisements and punched up the color to make it fun and modern for this adorable little girl’s special day. Everything from the design of the invitation to the writing I created was truly custom for the big event. It was printed on pure white semi gloss cardstock with a glossy coating on the photo side. I think the end result is absolutely adorable!  It grabs your attention – and being that there is a side of the invitation devoted to a photo of the little princess, it’s the kind of card that people keep out on display long after the party has ended! The right wedding favors don’t have to be expensive by any means, they just need to be selected properly and presented with style and sophistication, just like the rest of your wedding!  It is a shame when a bride spends lots of money on trinkets that will just be tossed aside due to lack of practicality. One way to create a memorable wedding favor that won’t get tossed away is to make a soundtrack of your special day with a personalized CD.
