5-9 Events: Logo Design

I enjoy making beautiful things happen! I spend my 9-5 hours working for a corporation designing packaging and products that are sold at many mass retailers nationwide. I love my job & the creativity that I get to have.

My freelance services thru Desi Design not only include invitations & announcements, but sometimes I get the opportunity to work on identity graphic design programs for fantastic clients. Such is the case with the project you are about to see!

Deanna from 5-9 Events was an absolute delight to work with on the design of her company’s logo and style guide. I was thrilled to hear that she was starting her own Event Planning business in Virginia, after many years of coordinating and hosting several successful events in Ohio. My mind raced with several possibilities for the look of her company identity. The end result is fun & friendly, just like Deanna’s approach to Event Planning.

Her motto is “You have a 9-5, let us handle the rest.” She understands that her clients are busy with work & kids, so she shortens their to-do list in planning birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, showers and weddings. I love that her services range from last minute event errands to full event planning, including day-of-coordination. How many times have I been at a wedding or child’s birthday party when the hostess has leaned over to me and whispered “I should have hired someone to help with this!” And really, that’s what Deanna is here for! Put her creativity and organization to work so you can enjoy your day. If you are planning an event in the Newport News, VA area, check out her website: http://59events.blogspot.com/

I loved helping make Deanna’s ideas come to life. If you are eager to start that new project, turn to me for fresh creative design.

Safari Birthday Invitations

It was so wonderful to meet Jenny all the way from Australia. Her adorable little boy is turning the big 1.  She loved the Safari invitations featured on my blog and wondered if she could order them in time for her little man’s big birthday celebration. I was happy to offer her a design service to create the invitations that she could print herself in Australia. Here is how cute they came out:

It was also great to meet Ana from New York, who also loved my safari invitations. These safari invitations were inspired by all things travel – passports, boarding passes – and of course cute animals! Instead of a photo front, she requested animal illustrations. I think it came out adorable! It has been wonderful to get to meet from all over the globe and share my designs with them. Thank you!

Birthday Invitations

I'm thrilled to show you two party invitations that were a delight to create!   I was so happy when I was contacted by Charkia to design her daughter's first birthday invitation using a carnival theme. I just adore the look of vintage circus posters and the fun bright colors blissfully whimsical. It was printed on pure white semi gloss cardstock with a glossy coating on the photo side. I think the end result is absolutely adorable, and will serve as a keepsake from the special day.
Have you heard of Elegant 18 birthdays? I absolutely love the theme that Raquel is planning for her daughter Desiree (love that we share the same first name!) It's a red-carpet premier party! I had a lot of fun with wording on this custom design. You can't tell from this photo, but she opted to have it printed on pearlized glitter card stock, which adds another layer of star-studded quality to set the stage for the big event. Thank you Raquel and Happy Birthday Desiree!

Sponge Bob Birthday!

My little diva daughter is a big Sponge Bob fan! In fact, her 6th birthday will be all Sponge Bob themed. I’m happy to share the adorable invitations and CD Labels inspired by the cartoon that I made for her big day.

These are available for sale as custom designed invitations if you are having a SpongeBob party theme too!
