Dr Seuss Inspired Birthday Invitation

I was thrilled to hear from the Ana from NY recently. You may remember her from my Safari Birthday Invitations post. Well now her little boy is turning the big 2! His birthday is all things Dr Seuss – One Fish, Two Fish, Horton Hears a Who, Cat in the Hat, the Lorax – and she needed a birthday invitation to set the tone for this fun day. I was beyond thrilled with all the possibilities!

I designed this custom invitation for the big event. It was printed on pure white semi gloss cardstock. I think the end result is absolutely adorable!  There is no bigger compliment than a return client. I was so happy to work with Ana again. Happy Birthday to Michael Antonio!

House Watercolor Paintings

I'm so excited to share these custom commissioned house watercolor paintings. An illustrated house is the perfect way to pay tribute to your home! Capture the nostalgia of your childhood home in a gift for your parents or siblings, celebrate a new home in a gift for your spouse, or surprise a friend with their favorite piece of architecture.

This makes the perfect gift for so many occasions...
Birthday
House Warming
Christmas
Mothers Day
Fathers Day
Anniversary
First Home
Parent/Grandparent Gift
Realtor Closing Gift

These paintings were ordered as Christmas gifts.  The first is from a daughter to her parents, of the house she grew up in. They had recently moved, and this was the perfect nostalgic gift for them to remember the house where their children grew up.
The next is from a wife to a husband, to celebrate their first house together and so many memories they have built starting their family.

Safari Birthday Invitations

It was so wonderful to meet Jenny all the way from Australia. Her adorable little boy is turning the big 1.  She loved the Safari invitations featured on my blog and wondered if she could order them in time for her little man’s big birthday celebration. I was happy to offer her a design service to create the invitations that she could print herself in Australia. Here is how cute they came out:

It was also great to meet Ana from New York, who also loved my safari invitations. These safari invitations were inspired by all things travel – passports, boarding passes – and of course cute animals! Instead of a photo front, she requested animal illustrations. I think it came out adorable! It has been wonderful to get to meet from all over the globe and share my designs with them. Thank you!

Commisioned Watercolor Painting

I had so much fun creating this wishing dandelion watercolor for Crystal. I started with a small loose sketch style to get a  feel for what she liked, then finished with a larger painting.

Here was my small sketch version:

Here is my final version:
Thank you Crystal for the opportunity to paint this for your family. I'm so touched that it has a special meaning to you!
