Photography is now available

I’m so excited to announce that Design Design is expanding to now offer photography! It has been a dream of mine to diversify the business by offering photography services in addition to invitation/announcement stationery design, and I’m happy to be making it a reality.

One of the greatest things about obtaining my BFA in Graphic Design from the Cleveland Institute of Art is that they encourage crossing mediums. In addition to design, I was able to study drawing, painting, fibers, and photography. At that time, the photography was black & white film that I developed myself in the dark room. I loved the experience and found it very creative and rewarding.

During the past ten years that I have worked as a Graphic Designer, I have worked with several photographers, styled and art directed hundreds of photo shoots, and edited countless photos for print and web. Editing has ranged from minor cosmetic to major changes – like totally changing a room! Now it’s my turn to get behind the lens and bring all the knowledge that I have learned from art directing and editing into creating photos.

I was the girl growing up always taking pictures of her friends, family, pets, and anyone else who would let me! When my babies were little I was obsessed with capturing every moment on my camera – down to the tiniest detail. I often look back at those photos and am so grateful for them. I love that photography captures a moment in time, and preserves it forever.

I am happy to now offer photography to capture your special moments - Weddings, Engagement, Family, Babies/Children… Please contact me for rates and to schedule a session.

It's a powerful collection of art reflecting this moment in time . Thank you to curator Anna Arnold for including me in this exhibition. "Thirteen" is a portrait of my daughter. She became a teenager during the pandemic. I knew I had to visually document this moment in time for her. It's a blend of emotions, and I hope the viewer sees when they look at it.   "When" is my self portrait during the pandemic . It started very dark but then I wanted to lighten it up for hope for

Safari Birthday Invitation

It was so wonderful to meet Roxy from California. Her little boy is turning the big 1.  She loved the Safari invitations featured on my blog and thought it would work perfectly for her big Birthday party plans this November. These safari invitations were inspired by all things travel – passports, boarding passes – and of course cute animals! I received the sweetest note from her afterwards: “ Hey there! I received the invites for my sons Safari birthday party and I love them!!! The party ALREADY looks like a great time and I still have a few weeks to go! I have already started recommending you and ordering invites from you was such an easy process and thank you for working with me one on one to get the look I requested!!! A million thanks!!! You will be getting lots of work from me” I really have the best clients! Thank you Roxy & happy birthday to Roman!
