Cailin’s First Birthday Invitation

When Carrie asked me to design Birthday invitations for Cailin’s first birthday, I was super excited….and knew it had to be extra special!

When we first discussed themes, I thought what better for a summer birthday than a Luau theme!

In creating the look I was inspired by my trip to Maui – the gorgeous flowers that were everywhere as well as the whole surf vibe I observed on the beaches. I knew her invitation had to be a blend of fresh modern tropical meets sophistication for this beautiful baby girl.

I took full advantage of the bright fresh color scheme and then also added a bold graphic font to pull in the beach feel. It’s so fun & fresh. It was printed on pure white semi gloss cardstock with a glossy coating on the photo side. I think the end result is absolutely delightful! (– and did I mention the quick turnaround? This was designed, sent to the press, and arrived on Carrie’s front door in 4 days total!)

Does this luau sound like blast? The side of the invitation devoted to a photo of the little hula girl will remain on my refrigerator long after the party has ended! Isn’t she a doll?

Thank you so much Carrie for the opportunity and incredible inspiration – and Happy Birthday to Cailin!

She became a teenager during the pandemic. I knew I had to visually document this moment in time for her. It's a blend of emotions, and I hope the viewer sees when they look at it.   "When" is my self portrait during the pandemic . It started very dark but then I wanted to lighten it up for hope for

Yo Gabba Gabba CD labels

Hi everyone! It’s been awhile since my last post. I’ve been very busy with work, but I do have a couple new designs to show today. I recently met Stephanie and Tiffany who have adorable little boys celebrating big birthdays. My Yo Gabba Gabba party favor CD labels worked perfectly with their themes. I was happy to create these scenes of MC and Yoshy dancing with her favorite TV show characters. It is so adorable and is sure to be enjoyed by family & friends many times over! Happy Birthday to these very cool boys!
