5-9 Events: Logo Design

I enjoy making beautiful things happen! I spend my 9-5 hours working for a corporation designing packaging and products that are sold at many mass retailers nationwide. I love my job & the creativity that I get to have.

My freelance services thru Desi Design not only include invitations & announcements, but sometimes I get the opportunity to work on identity graphic design programs for fantastic clients. Such is the case with the project you are about to see!

Deanna from 5-9 Events was an absolute delight to work with on the design of her company’s logo and style guide. I was thrilled to hear that she was starting her own Event Planning business in Virginia, after many years of coordinating and hosting several successful events in Ohio. My mind raced with several possibilities for the look of her company identity. The end result is fun & friendly, just like Deanna’s approach to Event Planning.

Her motto is “You have a 9-5, let us handle the rest.” She understands that her clients are busy with work & kids, so she shortens their to-do list in planning birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, showers and weddings. I love that her services range from last minute event errands to full event planning, including day-of-coordination. How many times have I been at a wedding or child’s birthday party when the hostess has leaned over to me and whispered “I should have hired someone to help with this!” And really, that’s what Deanna is here for! Put her creativity and organization to work so you can enjoy your day. If you are planning an event in the Newport News, VA area, check out her website: http://59events.blogspot.com/

I loved helping make Deanna’s ideas come to life. If you are eager to start that new project, turn to me for fresh creative design.

It's a powerful collection of art reflecting this moment in time . Thank you to curator Anna Arnold for including me in this exhibition. "Thirteen" is a portrait of my daughter. She became a teenager during the pandemic. I knew I had to visually document this moment in time for her. It's a blend of emotions, and I hope the viewer sees when they look at it.   "When" is my self portrait during the pandemic . It started very dark but then I wanted to lighten it up for hope for

Yo Gabba Gabba CD labels

Hi everyone! It’s been awhile since my last post. I’ve been very busy with work, but I do have a couple new designs to show today. I recently met Stephanie and Tiffany who have adorable little boys celebrating big birthdays. My Yo Gabba Gabba party favor CD labels worked perfectly with their themes. I was happy to create these scenes of MC and Yoshy dancing with her favorite TV show characters. It is so adorable and is sure to be enjoyed by family & friends many times over! Happy Birthday to these very cool boys!
