This year’s Christmas Card was designed as a whimsical, fun postcard. Merry Christmas and thank you all for supporting Desi Design Diva!

5 to 9 Events is hosting a lovely Mother-Daughter tea party benefitting Operation Shower this February. I was happy to help this charity by creating the web graphic to promote the special event. It sets the tone for a fabulous day helping some wonderful people. I was inspired (and totally in love with) 5 to 9 Events clean, modern tea party approach and color scheme.  The graphic was a joy to create and I hope it helps Operation Shower and the deserving Military families they support.

I spent a wonderful afternoon with this beautiful couple last week. I love that the location captured fall in Cleveland at it's best! Here are some of my favorites from our Engagement Photography session.  A big Thank You to Cortney & Adam - I hope you love these as much as I do!

There’s no bigger compliment than a return client. I was absolutely thrilled when Sandy from California asked me about creating a Fairytale Bridal Shower invitation for her friend, the blushing bride-to-be, Rebecca. What a breath-taking theme for a Bridal Shower! Rebecca has some very stylish diva friends planning this fabulous event!  I can’t take much credit for it – it was all Sandy & Robyn’s idea, and I was happy to bring the design to life! A big thank you to the wonderful hostesses, Sandy & Robyn! Congratulations to the soon-to-be Mrs. Cooley! Isn't this a fabulous theme for a bridal shower? Do you know someone using this theme?

It was so wonderful to meet Roxy from California. Her little boy is turning the big 1.  She loved the Safari invitations featured on my blog and thought it would work perfectly for her big Birthday party plans this November. These safari invitations were inspired by all things travel – passports, boarding passes – and of course cute animals! I received the sweetest note from her afterwards: “ Hey there! I received the invites for my sons Safari birthday party and I love them!!! The party ALREADY looks like a great time and I still have a few weeks to go! I have already started recommending you and ordering invites from you was such an easy process and thank you for working with me one on one to get the look I requested!!! A million thanks!!! You will be getting lots of work from me” I really have the best clients! Thank you Roxy & happy birthday to Roman!

I just had the pleasuring of meeting Timika who has an adorable little girl celebrating a big 2 birthday soon. My Yo Gabba Gabba party favor CD labels worked perfectly with her party theme. I was happy to create this scene of Janiyah looking like a diva with her favorite TV show characters. It is so adorable and is sure to put smiles of the faces of family & friends many times over! Happy Second Birthday to Timika!

  I’m really excited to show this fabulous new Baby Shower Invitation! It was custom designed for my friend’s sister-in-law, who is expecting a little baby boy bundle of joy soon.   Her nursery décor is based around the Lambs & Ivy Bow Wow collection. I illustrated a diva caricature of the mom to be in her fabulous sporty puppy nursery. I love the sporty theme and it allowed me to experiment with fun typography. This is how a diva does sports! It’s one of my new favorites!      It was a pleasure to create this customized invitation for Holly and her hostesses. Thank you so much! 

   I was so delighted when Laura contacted me from St. Louis, MO to design her daughter’s first birthday invitations. She loved the Luau theme I created for Sandy’s baby, and thought it would be perfect for her party. I was actually on vacation at the time, but I’m so happy I was still able to make her deadline and everything worked out perfectly.   Doesn’t this luau party sound like blast?   I think the design is so fun and happy!  And don’t we all just adore the side of the invitation devoted to a photo of the little baby girl? What a cutie! Thank you so much Laura for the opportunity – and Happy Birthday to Hayden!

I just spent a beautiful week in Destin, FL. The white sand, the crystal clear water, I could go on and on! Here’s a few photos of what my eyes were able to enjoy while there. My daughter is a good sport about taking photos with me. We make it into a game and have lots of fun. Here’s a one of her that I adore.   As many of you know I am usually on the hunt for a good family photo, and usually end up with just a lot of out-takes and bloopers. This year we were actually able to get a couple that weren’t too bad! I had a wonderful relaxing vacation, and was excited to come home to work on a couple of fun invitations. An adorable birthday Luau & a super cute Baby Shower invitation, I will try to post about them soon. It was great to be away for awhile, but felt amazing to come home to design!

My little man is a big Max & Ruby fan! In fact, his life is very similar to Max, as he also has a big sister who helps take care of him a lot!  I was happy to plan a Max & Ruby 4 th birthday party for him at his request!  Here’s the fun colorful invitations inspired by the cartoon that I made for his big day.    I was thrilled when Sandy contacted me, all the way from super sunny California, to design her daughter’s first birthday invitations. She loved the Luau theme I created for Carrie’s baby, which was inspired by my trip to Maui – fun, fresh, & modern tropical.    A bright fresh color scheme and bold graphic fonts gave this invitation a playful beach feel. Sandy asked that I incorporate sea turtles and the blocked text design. I think the end result is absolutely delightful!  Doesn't this luau sound like blast? I am totally craving a vacation right now! And don’t we all just adore the side of the invitation devoted to a photo of the little hula girl? What a doll! Thank you so much Sandy for the opportunity – and Happy Birthday to Samantha!

I was so happy to receive a message from the gorgeous Sadiyyah all the way from North Carolina. She saw the A Star is Arriving Baby Shower Invitation that I designed for Briana & Michelle on my blog and thought it would work perfectly with her shower theme. It was a pleasure to get to know her and learn about the fabulous baby shower for her and her fiance. I illustrated caricatures that matched perfectly with Sadiyyah and her fiance’s likeness and captured her fashionista love of pink & purple style. The customized invitation is perfect for a glamorous diva! I received the sweetest message from her when the design was complete: “Thank you again Desiree for the invitations. I'm pretty sure this won’t be the last time I need you to make something for me! I really appreciate everything you've done and I know they are going to come out looking wonderful!” Thank you Sadiyyah! You make my job amazing! Have a wonderful day at your baby shower!

My little diva daughter is a big Sponge Bob fan! In fact, her 6 th birthday will be all Sponge Bob themed. I’m happy to share the adorable invitations and CD Labels inspired by the cartoon that I made for her big day. I must say I have the best clients ever. Starting this blog and showcasing my designs is a wonderful thing. I was happy to create this scene of Julius dancing with his favorite TV show characters. It is so adorable and is sure to be enjoyed by family & friends many times over! After sending the design I received this sweet email from Hazel: “This is awesome! Thank you so much, the party will be extra exciting with this part of his favors! You Rock!” Thank you Hazel and Happy Birthday to Julius!

I was thrilled to hear from the gorgeous Briana from Arkansas recently. You may remember her from my A Star is Arriving Baby Shower Invitations. Well now her bundle of joy is turning the big 1! And what a cutie he is! The lucky little man was born on St Patty’s Day, so Briana is using that theme for her party. She also has a beautiful little niece turning the big 5, so a joint birthday invitation was what she needed. I adore her theme and I was beyond thrilled with all the possibilities! Everything from the illustrations on the invitation to the writing was custom created for the big event. It was printed on pure white semi gloss cardstock. I think the end result is absolutely adorable!   There is no bigger compliment than a return client. I was so happy to work with Briana again and it was such a joy to see pictures of little C.J. Happy Birthday to C.J. & Re’ana!

It was so wonderful to meet Jenny all the way from Australia. Her adorable little boy is turning the big 1.  She loved the Safari invitations featured on my blog and wondered if she could order them in time for her little man’s big birthday celebration. I was happy to offer her a design service to create the invitations that she could print herself in Australia. Here is how cute they came out:   It was also great to meet Ana from New York, who also loved my safari invitations. These safari invitations were inspired by all things travel – passports, boarding passes – and of course cute animals! Instead of a photo front, she requested animal illustrations. I think it came out adorable! It has been wonderful to get to meet from all over the globe and share my designs with them. Thank you!
